Riches to riches

Ecclesiastes 5:10 “Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think wealth brings true happiness.”

When the vision is money, no amount of money will ever be enough. Have you observed people with a passion for money? Working relentlessly to make more money instead of enjoying life and to serve God? Have your ever seen how quickly money disappears, even if there is plenty? Have you ever seen how ‘just a little bit more’ is never enough?

Seeking wealth should not be what we strive for in this life. As the gospels say, we cannot serve God and mammon (money – an idol – a non-living entity). The more we as humans revert to becoming passionate over finances instead of serving God, the shallower our lives become.

We as Christians serve a living God, a God who provides us with enough to sustain ourselves and to set us free, but we need to stay within the guidance of what He wants for us and has purposed us to do in an with our lives. Every day we do not go to bed hungry, have a bed and have a roof over our heads, is another day God has provided us with the wealth we need in the moment. We are to seek happiness herein. He provides for our needs.

Through working towards fulfilling your purpose in God’s Kingdom, you believe that God will provide, but you have to action your faith and be mindful that your faith is not overrun with greed. Once you have reached your optimum wealth (where you have reached a level of comfort), remember and strive to share your good fortunes with others. Blessing others as the Lord has blessed you.

Do not allow the blessings provided by God to be left in storage meaninglessly. Do not squander your finances, that is not what I am saying, but be wise, store enough for your old day, save to leave a little for your children, but live your life to the fullest with that which the Lord has provided you with. You only have one life and the Lord will bless you for the hard work that you have done fulfilling your purpose and the passions He has placed on your heart.

As it stands in Ecclesiastes 5:19 “And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life, this is indeed a gift from God.”

PS: I tried something new by adding the audio file of the post. I will try to find a way to make it a little less robot like. If there are any suggested apps, please leave a comment. Thank you and God bless.
